About this programme

Modern software must be environment-agnostic and fault-tolerant. This module combines containerization principles with the strategies required to ensure high availability. We address the engineering needed to maintain 24/7 responsiveness, even when individual distributed components fail.

Technical Focus: OCI-compliant containerization, 12-factor methodology, and self-healing mechanisms. We focus on fault-isolation patterns and intelligent traffic management in elastic infrastructures.

Cloud-Native Resilience

Course Details

01Day 1

Containerization & the 12-Factor Methodology

Moving beyond “it works on my machine.” We focus on OCI-compliant container design, optimizing build layers for speed, and applying 12-factor principles to ensure applications are truly cloud-ready.

02Day 2

Orchestration & Service Mesh Fundamentals

Managing services at scale. We explore the architectural patterns of orchestration (Kubernetes), focusing on service discovery, configuration management, and how networking operates in a distributed cluster.

03Day 3

Fault Tolerance & Self-Healing Patterns

Designing systems that thrive under failure. We implement resilience patterns such as Circuit Breakers, Retries, and Rate Limiting to ensure the system remains responsive even when individual components degrade.
